Pantone Fashion forecast 2017
Just as we are in midst of Black on Black monochromatic hues of winter fashion we see vibrant in our near future. Pantone released the top 10 colors for Spring 2017. The colors are reminiscent of the hues of nature with a sense of earthiness to bright and vivid hues that exude bold emotion and feeling. Happy Friday! Lately I’ve added a new type of Graphic Design to my portfolio. I partnered with a new company headquartered in Boston and they specialize in menu design for restaurant re-branding. I worked with them to design a series of various menu types. One of them was for a Mexican restaurant – Sol Mexican. The inspiration came from Cantina type graphics and the idea was to keep the color palette minimal but to really play with Typography and allow for the design of the text to pop and me the star of the show. I loved working on this project. The menu format was a traditional 8 1/2 x 11 flip menu book. I didn’t design the logo so I’m not showing the cover. Here is a glimpse of the Sol Mexican menu…

I have been busy with wedding graphics lately. I have another Save the Date for you, but this one combines my two favorites – Fashion + Graphics. {Kaven} found me through my freelance work and had a vision to create a Save the Date invitation with a high fashion edge. Him and his fiance took several photography looks with a high fashion vibe and the idea was to use these images as a series for their wedding suite. Loved working on this project. Hello. I’ve been working on some amazing projects and have been incredibly busy the last few months. I wanted to take time to share one of the projects I have been working on. I partnered with a couple {Lisa + Jonathan}. They came to me with an idea to create a unique Save the Date. The idea was to create an infographic and make it unique and very special to them. Sounders Fashion
Most of my blog readers know that I’m a huge Seattle Sounders fan. Today was the last home game for the regular Sounders season. Happy to say we ended with a win and we earned a spot in the playoffs.
