Sounders Fashion

Most of my blog readers know that I’m a huge Seattle Sounders fan. Today was the last home game for the regular Sounders season. Happy to say we ended with a win and we earned a spot in the playoffs. I’m so thrilled. My friend {Molly} and I have been season ticket holders for many years and have really gotten to know the players and have admired their amazing athleticism, but we also noticed their fashion. Love. Here is a glimpse of Sounders fashion {Stefan Frei, Christian Roldan, Roman Torres, Nelson Valdez, Nicolas Lodeiro, Aaron Kovar, and Jordan Morris}…

World of WearableArt

World of WearableArt

Hello!  Last week my good friend {Christopher Rocco} took me on a little tour of one of Seattle’s latest exhibits at The Experience  Music Project {EMP}  – World of WearableArt. The show is absolutely spectacular. The show comes from New Zealand and it’s THE biggest art show. The show creates amazing theatrical garments which give designers the opportunity to be innovative and original. The show is so wonderful. Please come visit EMP and support the show! Here is a glimpse…

summer nights

Hello Summer. project 2015 continues and we have reached wk. 028. project 2015 showcases a different photo filter/style weekly. This week I played around with the app Aillis, which was formally called LINE.  This week it was all about Toys. This filter pops the photography with depth and saturation – just like toys! It’s the perfect filter for summer days and nights!  Here is a glimpse of my week…

50 Shades of Grey

50 Shades of Grey graphic

In honor of the movie 50 Shades of Grey debuting this week, I decided to share a graphic that I did with my friend {Savanna}. Back in 2012, Seattle’s Space Needle celebrated its 50th Anniversary.  An International design contest was held to design the look for the top of the Space Needle and celebrate its 50th birthday.  One day, on a rainy weekday, {Savanna} and I were sitting in a coffee shop and we were talking about the popular book at the time, 50 Shades of Grey.  We were contemplating on entering the contest. For some reason, through our silly discussion, we were talking about the Space Needle, the rainy  Seattle gray weather, the book that was set in Seattle, and other design talk that we came up with idea of doing a Pantone inspired 50 Shades of Grey color wheel as our design.  50 colors of Grey – and all named a unique name that ties in with Seattle. We were so excited about our design and thought we had a good chance of winning. We didn’t even make the top 6 and if you saw the top 6 you be like “huh?!!?!”. Serious, we were not bitter at all, but the winning design was seriously a head-scratcher.  Anyway, go see the movie and drool over Jamie Dornan. Happy Friday ! – xoxo SADV

PNW Baby Shower

PACIFIC NW BABY INVITE

Last Saturday there was a little baby shower celebration for our dear friend {Sabrina}.  {Sabrina} is having a little boy in May. A few girls decided to throw her a very small baby shower with a Pacific Northwest (PNW) theme. The location was perfect – Lot 3 in Bellevue. Think hipster plaid, mason jars, comfort food, eclectic flowers, twine, mustaches, and coffee beans.  Here is a glimpse of the baby festivities…

Prism {@prismseattle}

I thought I would share a local #instalove <3 this week.  Prism is one of my favorite stores in Seattle’s Ballard area. This chic + fabulous boutique store features vintage clothing, lifestyle objects and pieces, art, housewares, and other various goods of a handmade and independent nature.  Every time I walk in the store, I at least want to buy 10 things – at least. I’m obsessed with all the jewelry – the pieces are so modern and unique. I started following @prismseattle this summer. I love seeing the posts and seeing the new pieces they carry.  Follow and shop! #shoplocal

A Summer Wedding…

Summer Wedding

On August 21, 2014 my friends David + Sara got married. In previous blogs you can see their Engagement photo shoot + Sara’s Bachelorette Party.  They got married on a perfect Seattle day and even Mount Rainier made a little cameo.  The groomsmen were dressed in shades of gray and the bridesmaids were in hues of blush.  The wedding was absolutely picturesque. Sara looked absolutely stunning.  Everything was perfection. Here is a glimpse of the Sara + David wedding…

Skirts Ahoy

Skirts AhoyYesterday was the perfect day for a night boat cruise.  I remember a year ago around this time, designers at my firm gathered together for a happy hour cruise around Seattle’s Lake Union. {See blog post 7 Knots} My favorite furniture/fabric rep and personal friend Esther Du Graf invited designers from my firm for a dinner and drinks cruise hosted by herself, husband William and beautiful daughter Isabella. It was absolutely amazing – a perfect Summer night!  We boarded the ESTHER WILLIAMS {a combination of her name and her husbands name + nod to famous American actress and swimmer Esther Williams of the 1950’s}. Their yacht is absolutely stunning – a 1956 fifty-four foot Chris Craft – so classic and beautiful. Here is a glimpse of our summer night…
