What’s your sign?

Hello. Are you still there? I’m still here and I’ve missed you. It’s been ages since I’ve blogged. Honestly life has been busy. I work at an agency that keeps me busy 9-5, been working on some amazing projects, collaborated with the best clients, and also planning a November wedding.  Life is good, but busy.  For those that know me, I have a love for astrology. I’m enlightened more and more each day with what the planets and stars tell us.

So I collaborated on another project with my fiance. Our first project was The Astrological Wheel. Now we are diving a little deeper and we developed posters that focuses on each sign with a healing aspect for Spirit – Energy – Soul.

Spirit shares the sign’s healing gems and stones, Energy focuses on healing herbs and spices, and Soul shares thoughts and wisdom that feed the soul.  Here is a little glimpse of each sign…

It’s Friday! Friday the 13th. I’ve so missed blogging. The reason for my absence is that I’ve been so fortunate enough to stay very busy on all these amazing projects.  I love the clients that I work with and the projects I do. Recently, I partnered with my client {Angela} to brand her fabulous beauty company HONEYBOMBE.  The brand exudes modern, sophistication and a touch of girly and sparkle. I wanted to share a style/brand guide I created for her. Here is a glimpse of HONEYBOMBE….

hello

My best friend is having a baby. This will be her second child and it’s a boy.  I was honored that she asked me to design her baby invites.  For the look and feel, she wanted a California Vibe, palm trees, and a clean modern palette of greens and gold with pops of color.  I told about the brand A Beautiful Mess.  She took a looksie and said that’s exactly the look and feel that she wants.  For privacy, I did change the names and details.  The first one was the invite design she selected and the other ones were the options I wanted to share with you. Please comment and tell me which one you like best. Here is a glimpse…

Hello lovelies. June has been a really busy month. I have been working on amazing projects.  Before I share the projects I’ve been working on this month, I wanted to go back to March and share dance posters I worked on.  I partnered with a a company called 5678 Media group to design billboard size posters for a dance competition called DANCE USA DANCE – it’s basically like the show “so you think you can dance”. I had provided them two options. They selected the one above. Here is the one that wasn’t selected…

They liked the poster design so much that we did the series in various colors. Here is a glimpse…

Hello. My life has been so busy, but I’m so thankful for all the amazing projects that I get to work on.  I love all my clients and love being a graphic designer. I really do.   Since my last blog, I did a little traveling to both Spain & Portugal. I hope to get to my photos soon and share all the amazing places that I was able to see.  Our world is such a beautiful place! Anyways, I’m a little off topic here…

For my last project, I partnered with Jeni Castro, founder of Bronzed Bunny and the project was to create a Bronzed Bunny Look Book for potential franchise opportunities currently in California. The Bronzed Bunny specializes in organic tanning, sugaring & body scrubs. I wish we could have a Bronzed Bunny in Seattle. It all started with Jeni’s amazing photography + combination with a mix of typography.  You can view the complete look book here. Here is a glimpse of the Bronzed Bunny Look Book…

graphics // hatch show print

Hello. It’s been a moment since I blogged. I miss you all!  I wanted to share my latest project with you.  My client {Shawn} wanted me to create a custom Hatch Print Show Style poster.  For those that don’t know Hatch Print – Hatch printing originated in 1879 in Nashville, TN by William Hatch. Hatch ran the famous print shop – Hatch Show Print.  Country musicians to magicians and various rock stars have all turned to Nashville’s historic Hatch Show Print to create amazing showstopping posters. Hatch preserves the art of traditional printing.

I created the same design for my client {Shawn} but varied the options through color.  He pretty much left the design totally up to me, but just required the day of the dead skull and an outline of the state of Tennessee. All info and details were provided. Here is a glimpse of the four options I provided for him….

graphics // six three zero

Hello and Happy Tuesday.  six three zero is bike company in California. They had contacted me to design their Brand + Style Guide.  I honestly love doing this type of work.  This guide documents the brand through a set of guidelines and rules that support their identity. It’s the voice and personality of a company in visual form and addresses how the brand is represented and communicated through social media, advertising and design.  This was a great project to work on.  You must check out their bikes. Their mission is to ‘make people’s lives better…one bike at a time’.  Here is a glimpse of the six three zero brand + style guide…

Social Lashes. My first project I wrapped up for 2017.  I was lucky to partner with a lash boutique – Social Lashes.  The need was for a modern graphic look book that showcases the 5 lash styles – Socialite, Bold, Fearless, Daring and Sassy.  I loved working on this project – Beauty and Graphics – two of my favorite things.  The result was an all black and white look book that showcased a mix of typography both with a fashion feel and bold handwritten statements and also mixed with casual beauty editorial photography.  Here is a glimpse…

Hello and Happy Monday. I’ve been working on so many amazing projects. I just wrapped up 5 menu designs and wanted to share the Mama Maria Brunch Menu with you.  A few weeks ago, I shared the Sol Mexican menu.  For this menu, I wanted more of a rustic modern feel and incorporate illustration into the design. The logo was provided so I didn’t want the other elements of the design to compete and take away from the logo.  These menus have been so fun to design.  I love playing with typography and mixing it up with the illustrations. I provided two background options to the client. You can decided which one you like best. Here is a glimpse…
