graphics // wedding invites

Hello. I’ve missed you. I’ve been incredibly busy with my 9-5 and also working on some amazing projects on my own.  I thought I would share one of the them with you. My dear and best friend Crisa is an event planner and organizing the wedding of Karen & Luis. I was lucky to be asked to do their wedding invitations.  Their colors are navy and gold.  I put together 5 options in both white/gold and navy/gold for the couple. Which one do you like best? Here is a glimpse…

Affirmations

Hello. We are in our first week of 2016. I wanted to share a graphic project that I completed this week. My projects are seriously amazing, fun and so diverse. I recently partnered with a Life Coach named Joyell. I had nothing but a positive experience working with her. I created 20 graphics for her social media.  The graphics were all about positive affirmations. I totally believe in affirmations – if you put it out into the universe and believe it – good things will come. We always have to work and improve our relationships, but before we do that, we must love and improve our own relationship with ourselves.  “I Believe 2016 will be an Amazing Year”. Here is a glimpse of the affirmations…

2015

Hello. Happy New Year’s Eve Eve. I love my eves! We are about to say good-bye to 2015.  2015 year was an interesting year for me. The highs would be my fabulous Europe trip with my family, getting out my comfort zone and doing what I really love to do, and all my friendships this year – both new and old. My personal theme this year was “things happen for a reason”. However, I sent out many positive affirmations into the universe and I do believe “it” will happen if you will it to happen. I feel like I’m coming out on top as we end 2015. Always end on a good note right? Thank you for reading my blog and letting me share a little sparkle with you. Here is a glimpse of the most popular Sparkle is the new Black posts for 2015…

Look Book{Look book cover options}

My two loves – fashion + graphics. I love both equally and love it even more when I can do both at the same time. Last Friday I partnered with couture shoe designer Eleanor Anukam.  Her shoes are absolutely gorgeous. My favorite is the Iruoma – I’m obsessed with these shoes! She came to me to design a look book for her shoe line and showcase the 8 styles in her collection. The vision was to create a look book that was MODERN . EDGY. FRESH.  I absolutely love doing these type of projects. Here is a glimpse…

graphics {soccer postcards}

Soccer playoffs are happening at this moment. The Seattle Sounders had an amazing win last night against LA Galaxy.  Being at the game was so intense, no one cared at all about the pouring rain, we all just wanted to see our team win! Speaking of soccer, last week I teamed up with EXACT SPORTS, a premiere athletic company that focuses on the success of young athletes. EXACT SPORTS will be hosting soccer camps in various cities in the US this winter.  I partnered with them to create Soccer postcards for marketing these soccer camps.  Here is a glimpse…

graphics {lookbook + line sheets}

I heart graphic design times infinity!  I wanted to share my latest graphics project with you.  I recently partnered with a jewelry designer {however in the UK they spell it “jewellery”} named Catherine Preston. She is originally from the UK and now resides in Hong Kong. She came to me requesting a Look Book and Line sheets for her jewelry business. I created a short teaser look book and line sheets so she can send them out to potential buyers {prices were removed}. She had great photography for so it made the process easy to design the layouts.  Here is a glimpse of the latest…

I was fortunate to collaborate with my friend {Jill} for a second time to rebrand her business P31 Collaborative.  Loved working on this project and loved working with {Jill}. She had a specific vision on the direction she wanted to take her brand that embodied – chic, whimsical and sincere. I loved creating a romantic brand package for her. P31 Collaborative specializes in both Interior Design + Event Planning. In the near future, we will begin phase 2 and rebrand her website – coming soon!  Here is a glimpse of P31 Collaborative…

AUSTIN AZTEX TEASER

I want to share more of the graphic design work that I do. I love graphic design so much and am ecstatic to focus 100% of my time and energy to my true passion.  Moving forward, through this avenue of my style blog, I will share glimpses of what projects I’ve been working on.   In the spring of 2015, I was so fortunate to partner with the USL (United Soccer League) Team – Austin Aztex.  The city of Austin is known for the cool and weird hipster culture that is surrounded by a music oriented vibe. They had the idea of combining music + soccer and translating this idea to music inspired posters for each home game. Think vintage Johnny Cash and modern music festival posters. I loved this idea so much and was so thrilled to work on this sport/music/graphic project. Some games had themes that I worked with and some were just free rein design that allowed me to be so creative with my graphic art.  It’s been an amazing season and I hope to work with them again.  Still love my Sounders + Sounders S2! Here are the Austin Aztex Home Game Posters …

hello. Nashville

Nashville

Seattle to Nashville. Earlier this year, my friend {Chelsea} was trying to decide where she wanted to celebrate her birthday. Last year we celebrated her birthday in New York {See blog post} This year her city pick was NASHVILLE. We were just in Nashville earlier this week for 3 nights and 4 days.  The weather was amazing and the state of Tennessee was charming. We felt that Southern hospitality.  Here is a glimpse of where we stayed, what we saw, what we ate, and where we shopped…

NashvilleNashvilleNashville

We stayed in East Nashville in a charming carriage house behind this residence. We adored the houses in the neighborhood. Porch seating is definitely a trend that we saw. We couldn’t have stayed in a better place. It was so comfortable and convenient to be close to all the amazing restaurants and local bars.  We were thrilled to have the little white Fiat during our stay. It was cute to drive and so convenient to park.

Nashville. Night 1

Nashville Nashville

We arrived at the Nashville airport late evening. We picked up our car, checked in to our Airbnb carriage house and let to experience the nightlife the Nashville nightlife.  Our first stop was No308 – a trendy late-night hangout with mid-century modern decor and patio seating.  This is definitely a place where the hipsters hang out.

Nashville. Day 2

Nashville NashvilleNashville

It was a beautiful Sunday morning.  We started the day in the Belmont-Hillsboro area and had coffee at Bongo Java. The coffee was perfection that Easter morning. I was on hiatus with coffee for a minute and the first sip was amazing. We strolled through the neighborhood and walked the Belmont University campus.  We drove back to East Nashville and had lunch at The Pharmacy a burger joint with picturesque outdoor seating and beer garden.

Later that day, we strolled through Cumberland Park, an urban park with amazing landscaping.  We quickly ventured to the “Nashvegas” strip during sunset.

Nashville. Day 3

Nashville Nashville Nashville

Nashville Nashville

The next morning our first stop was East Nashville’s Barista Parlor.  It’s a hidden gem where an old mechanic garage shop was converted into a urban, hipter coffee shop. As a Seattlite who knows coffee, I can say that this Nashville coffee shop also knows coffee. They brew coffee as it was meant to be brewed. It’s a very, hip fun place to start your morning and people watch.  If you ever visit Nashville, this is a place that shouldn’t be missed. Order the Pop waffles. You will thank me later.

Nashville

We drove to Franklin, Tennessee and visited The Nail Bar. The Nail Bar is not your ordinary nail salon. This place is so chic, like a modern bar with a cool vibe. The staff wore all black like MAC makeup artists.  Honestly, this place gave me the absolute best gel manicure and I’m a girl who gets plenty of manicures.

We later wandered back to the Belmont/Hillsboro area. This particular street was filled with cute boutiques both modern and vintage.  We loved Imogene + Willie. The vibe of this store is so cool. What once was an old car service station is now a boutique filled with charm and character.

Nashville Nashville

We went to the Peter Nappi showroom.  This place is THE leather place. This showroom was built in the shell of a former industrial boiler room. The space is magnificent and you will leather showcased in such a beautiful way.  We wanted to live in this space.

Nashville Nashville

We visited the Hatch Show Print Studio and Gallery.  This is one of the oldest letter print shops in America.

Nashville Nashville

We ended our night dining at Lockeland Table and having drinks at Pinewood Social.  These are 2 – must go-to places.  The day was perfection.

Nashville. Day 4 (Last day)

Nashville

On our last day, we found ourselves at Barista Parlor again. We absolutely loved this place. Here is a quick montage…

Thank you Nashville. We will see you again soon!

A few weekends ago, I had a photo shoot for my friends Sara + David.  They are getting married in 2014!

Sara: born in Maine | obsessed with Pinterest | architect

David:  born in Washington | loves the Seahawks | firefighter

We wanted to photograph on a perfect Seattle autumn day for their Save the Dates and we did. The original photo shoot date was a major fail – we were dealing with one of the worst Seattle storms ever.  Here is a glimpse of my favorite moments from the day and the Save the Date options…
