The Astrological Wheel

I wanted to share my latest project: The Astrological wheel. This project is very special to me because I collaborated with my love on this project.

This is how we describe this project:  Astrology can be confusing. We have taken the big picture of ancient Cosmology, Astrotheology and Esoteric truths and compounded them on to one straightforward, modern infographic poster. This chart depicts the yearly path of the sun along the ecliptic- beginning in Aires (right ascension of meridian; the Ram). We are the microcosm of the macrocosm, so each poem that I wrote is in hopes that we can draw vivid parallels between the two. Meditation on this chart will grant you a major key on your own beautiful pathway towards the abundance of Love, Life and Light. Here is a glimpse of the posters we created…

Hello and Happy Monday. I’ve been working on so many amazing projects. I just wrapped up 5 menu designs and wanted to share the Mama Maria Brunch Menu with you.  A few weeks ago, I shared the Sol Mexican menu.  For this menu, I wanted more of a rustic modern feel and incorporate illustration into the design. The logo was provided so I didn’t want the other elements of the design to compete and take away from the logo.  These menus have been so fun to design.  I love playing with typography and mixing it up with the illustrations. I provided two background options to the client. You can decided which one you like best. Here is a glimpse…

Happy Friday! Lately I’ve added a new type of Graphic Design to my portfolio. I partnered with a new company headquartered in Boston and they specialize in menu design for restaurant re-branding.  I worked with them to design a series of various menu types.  One of them was for a Mexican restaurant – Sol Mexican.  The inspiration came from Cantina type graphics and  the idea was to keep the color palette minimal but to really play with Typography and allow for the design of the text to pop and me the star of the show. I loved working on this project. The menu format was a traditional 8 1/2 x 11 flip menu book. I didn’t design the logo so I’m not showing the cover. Here is a glimpse of the Sol Mexican menu…

The idea was to create an infographic and make it unique and very special to them.  Everything element of the design was collaborated together – fonts, stats, diagrams – all of it. I loved working on this project. It’s very unique and I wanted to share with you. Here is a glimpse…

A new soccer year, a new team. Last year, I was fortunate enough to partner with the USL (United Soccer League) Team – Austin Aztex. This year, it was all about the Tulsa Roughnecks. I love working on event posters.  I partnered with the team to design all the home game posters for the 2016 USL Soccer season.  We kicked it off with a vintage photo of the head coach, who actually was a Roughnek in the 80’s. Here is a glimpse of my favorite posters for the season…

{dom + elle look book cover options}

It has been a busy, busy, busy summer. I wanted to share my latest project with you. Last March, I partnered with a couture luxury swimwear designer for dom + elle {see original blog post}. We partnered again to create the first look book for the brand. I absolutely love creating look books {fashion + graphics} my two favorites. I love doing graphic layouts and making each page unique and stylized to the brand. For the typography, I went with a modern serif font that was inspired by fashion magazines like Vogue + Elle. Love the thin quality of the type and mixing it up with the sharpie-like handwritten font. This was such a fun project. {You can see the online look book here}  Here is a glimpse of the final cover and completed dom + elle look book…
