Seattle photography

Happy Weekend Sparkles! Elliot is turning 1 this month. Crazy how fast a year goes by. Elliot is the daughter of my dear, dear friend {Keysha}.  We spent an afternoon at Seattle’s Volunteer Park and the weather was perfect for a park photo shoot.  This photo shoot was all about bows + balloons + ruffles. Little Elliot was so adorable and I loved taking photos of her.  To see all the photos, visit the online gallery.   Happy Birthday little Miss Elliot. You will be walking in no time. My good friend Ann was in town almost a week ago and we spent one morning at Gasworks Park {Seattle, WA} to take some photos of little + adorable Carolina.  It was the perfect morning to take pictures, Seattle couldn’t have been more beautiful that day.  For this photo shoot we wanted to go for Girly + Urban + Tutus.  It was so great to see Ann and take photos of her amazing family. I’m so excited to share these photos with you. To see all the photos, visit the online gallery here. Here is a glimpse of the Little Carolina photo shoot

Urban Photo shoot

Last week, I had a photo shoot for my little brother Andrew.  I’ve been wanting to photograph my brother forever – we finally had a chance to do it.  The look that he wanted to go for was URBAN/MYSTERIOUS/CLASSY. We went to various locations in Seattle to get that street vibe. I wanted the photos to really embody that urban feel. During editing, I went for the more grainy look and went more bold with saturation. The only exception was the “nature” shots. I thought those should be a little bit more softer – it seemed more appropriate for the environment we were in. Here is a glimpse of the photo shoot…

Friday Eve Sparkles

We heart Warby Parker!  My friend {Chelsea} ordered her Warby Parker trials this week and is debating between the NASH and the CHAMBERLAINS. Both look fantastic, but I think I’m leaning more towards the Chamberlains for her. In the middle of the day, we decided to take an impromptu photo shoot. Yes, that selfie stick is coming in handy. My motto: Never apologize for selfies. Help her decide, here is a glimpse…

We wanted to photograph on a perfect Seattle autumn day for their Save the Dates and we did. The original photo shoot date was a major fail – we were dealing with one of the worst Seattle storms ever.  Here is a glimpse of my favorite moments from the day and the Save the Date options…

photo shoot // Lady Blue

This past Sunday afternoon, I had a photo shoot for my dear friend {Molly} and Lady Blue.  Lady Blue is the name of Molly’s 1983 Volvo.  Vintage Volvos are very special to Molly’s family from generation to generation.  A few months ago, when Molly and I were at a Sounder’s game {GO SOUNDERS!}, she mentioned that she wanted to do a special photo shoot with Lady Blue with a vintage inspired feel and even recreate photos similar to her grandma – in pose, attire, and surroundings.  We had such an amazing time taking pictures. It was the perfect Seattle day. Here is a glimpse of some of my favorite shots from the photo shoot…
