{Jackie Oh! Screen print on Coventry Rag by Donald Robertson}

I was on Instagram today and The Zoe Report {@thezoereport} posted an image of a NYC pop-up shop featuring illustrator Donald Robertson.  I love discovering new art and love Robertson’s style of mixing color + fashion.  His art has a playful sense of humor that I adore.  I personally want to own his Jackie Oh! I love it so much. Here is a glimpse of his current work…

RETROLUX

Hello. project 2015 continues and we have reached wk. 035. project 2015 showcases a different photo filter/style weekly. This week I used the filter Retrolux from the app Snapseed. Snapseed was one of the firsts photo filters apps that I used. This week I wanted a more scratchy vintage look with muted tones that feel more oldies style. With my time off, I’ve been fortunate to see my mom friends + their adorable kids.  I love it – feels like a real summer! Here is a glimpse of my week…

Urban Photo shoot

Last week, I had a photo shoot for my little brother Andrew.  I’ve been wanting to photograph my brother forever – we finally had a chance to do it.  The look that he wanted to go for was URBAN/MYSTERIOUS/CLASSY. We went to various locations in Seattle to get that street vibe. I wanted the photos to really embody that urban feel. During editing, I went for the more grainy look and went more bold with saturation. The only exception was the “nature” shots. I thought those should be a little bit more softer – it seemed more appropriate for the environment we were in. Here is a glimpse of the photo shoot…

I was fortunate to collaborate with my friend {Jill} for a second time to rebrand her business P31 Collaborative.  Loved working on this project and loved working with {Jill}. She had a specific vision on the direction she wanted to take her brand that embodied – chic, whimsical and sincere. I loved creating a romantic brand package for her. P31 Collaborative specializes in both Interior Design + Event Planning. In the near future, we will begin phase 2 and rebrand her website – coming soon!  Here is a glimpse of P31 Collaborative…

Hipstamatic

Hello. project 2015 continues and we have reached wk. 033. project 2015 showcases a different photo filter/style weekly. This week I used I wanted to use Hipstamatic. I haven’t used this app in years. I love this app so much and I think the results of the photos are amazing.  There are so many combinations to use with this app – flash/film/lens.  The thing is with other apps you can take the photo and filter it afterwards. With Hipstamatic, you have one chance to pick the right filter appropriate for the situation. There is no filtering afterwards. Although, Hipstamatic released another sister app called Oggl which allows you to import photos and filter, but it’s not the same.  I chose to use the John lens and went used both Pistil and DC film. I love the results. Here is a glimpse of my week…
