I want to share more of the graphic design work that I do. I love graphic design so much and am ecstatic to focus 100% of my time and energy to my true passion. Moving forward, through this avenue of my style blog, I will share glimpses of what projects I’ve been working on. In the spring of 2015, I was so fortunate to partner with the USL (United Soccer League) Team – Austin Aztex. The city of Austin is known for the cool and weird hipster culture that is surrounded by a music oriented vibe. They had the idea of combining music + soccer and translating this idea to music inspired posters for each home game. Think vintage Johnny Cash and modern music festival posters. I loved this idea so much and was so thrilled to work on this sport/music/graphic project. Some games had themes that I worked with and some were just free rein design that allowed me to be so creative with my graphic art. It’s been an amazing season and I hope to work with them again. Still love my Sounders + Sounders S2! Here are the Austin Aztex Home Game Posters …
It’s a nice Saturday and I’m staying indoors to make pretty graphics.
Listening to Milo Green’s Lie to Me on repeat. Happy Saturday.
Happy Music Monday. Yelle comes to my music mind today. Yelle is a French band with an ElectroPop sound. Band member Julie Budet pushes fashion boundaries. She can practically wear anything and make anything look fashionably chic. This band’s sound seems like a perfect end of summer – not quite end of summer sound. Listen to Yelle’s – Ce’Jeu.
Another Monday. I’m counting the days until the 3 day holiday weekend. Seattle’s Labor Day Weekend Music Festival – Bumbershoot is happening this weekend. The Lonely Forest will be performing on Saturday. The Lonely Forest is an Indie Rock Pop band from Anacortes, Washington. Listen to We Sing in Time.
In Lieu of Music Monday, I decided to have today’s post be music related. In one of my pinning sprees, I came across these posters designed by Federico Bambina. He blends songs with illustrated architecture from popular music icons to create Archimusic. Here is a glimpse…
Hello again Monday. For this Music Monday, I’m listening to Cathedral Pearls. Two couples, one Indie band from Spokane, Washington. This quartet band include Caleb and Karli Ingersoll and Max and Carrie Harnishfeger. Their sound can be summarized as high-energy, melodic, and electronic. Listen to Off My Chain (and I love the little baby in the video). Happy Monday.
