No Working on President’s Day

Monday Holidays are the absolute best.  Who doesn’t like an extended weekend?  What does one do on President’s Day? (you ask) – make the most out of an extra day and fill it with pretty things.

A girl friend and I spent the day together and accomplished many important tasks starting with lunch and coffee at one of our neighborhood favorites – Seattle’s Essential Bakery. This was followed by a girly day of manicures and trying threading for the first time ever.  Threading is an ancient method of hair removal originating in the Eastern World.  The process is amazing and our brows got a makeover. I told the woman that it sounds like a musical instrument.

We ended the day with shopping and it was wonderful to see all the spring colors. It’s definitely something I’m looking forward to and begin the process of transitioning to the vibrant spring hues from my winter black. People are like flowers, we bloom with color in the Spring. Here is a glimpse of my day….
