Mad Men

good-bye Mad Men

It is the end of an era. Last night we said farewell to our beloved show Mad Men.  I have always loved Mad Men for its graphics, music, fashion, + beauty. Lana Horochowski was the makeup artist for the show and gave us amazing 60’s inspired looks. Loved Betty’s two unique looks – her stay-at-home look and her going out/evening look. Betty has a classic beauty, very natural with sheer foundation and black liner and simple mascara.  Evening Betty has a thicker liner and brighter lipstick that always coordinates with her outfit. Joan is always put together with a hint of sexy and sassy. Her eyeliner is more dramatic and it’s all about the lashes. You would think she would go more red with her lips, but actually her lip color is always soft. The look of Peggy is young and fresh-faced with her clean and natural makeup. Megan has a little bit more of an edgy look. Her makeup is always up-to-date with the current beauty trends and always high-fashion. Lastly, we can’t forget little Sally. We watched little Sally grow up on the show and see her look transform into a little lady. Here is a glimpse of my favorite Mad Men looks…

The Met Gala // 2015

Met Gala 2015

It’s that time of year again…the red carpet at the Met Gala.  It’s the annual ball which formerly kicks off the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s yearly Costume Institute exhibit.  It’s hands down the most stylish night of the year where it is more than beautiful dresses, it’s about the fashion moments.  This year’s theme – Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film, and Fashion. The dresses were Asian-inspired with embellishments of floral motifs and hints of red. Here are some inspiring fashion moments…

Style Love. Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie

My new beauty crush is Margot Robbie. She is another hollywood IT girl for 2015. You might have first noticed her in the movie with Mr. Leonardo DiCaprio – The Wolf of Wall Street. I love her beauty. She has that classic hollywood glamour look to her. What I love most is that she is a little vintage and a little modern. Here is a glimpse of some of her beauty moments…

makeup monday // oscar beauty

Happy Makeup Monday!  Did you watch the Oscars last night?   The Oscar nominated movies this year were exceptional and so were the red carpet looks. I love, love, love awards season for all the beauty and glamour that it brings. I saw two trends on the red carpet last night – soft and natural and natural with a bold lip! During the awards season, Emma Stone took amazing fashion risks and I love how she ended it at the Oscars with her fresh feminine look that exuded old Hollywood glamor.  Margot Robbie was another show-stopper last night. I loved her sophisticated and polished structured look with effortless makeup and her bold red lip! Here are some of my favorite Oscar Beauty looks from last night…

Style Love. Felicity Jones

Style Love. Felicity Jones

My new style crush is Felicity Jones {even her name is phenomenal}. She has been noted as one of Hollywood’s fresh-faced IT GIRLS for 2015.  I first noticed her late 2014 when I saw the Theory of Everything. Have you seen it? It’s absolutely amazing.  For this year’s award season, I have been in awe over her fashion choices. She gives a variety of looks from her soft SAG Awards look with the pale pink gown and soft pretty in pink makeup to her Critics Choice Awards look with a more edgy style Dolce & Gabbana number. Love Love Love her style – love the mix of elegance and her fashion-forward choices. Here is a glimpse of some her fashion/beauty moments…

Victoria Beckham // 73 Questions

Victoria Beckham // 73 Questions

Victoria Beckham is so Posh. Vogue just released their latest installment of the “73 Questions” series and Victoria Beckham was the next chic victim. I love her, she never breaks “character”. She is fierce. What I love so much about this series is that it sheds a humanizing light on the star. Her responses are so Posh Spice – sassy and direct. Her responses just kept getting better and better. She even gives us a glimpse of her relationship with her lovely husband David Beckham and reveals the reason why she never smiles {she’s smiling in the inside}. So Posh!
