Speaking of Elle Magazine, there is quite a controversy with the Elle covers for February 2014. Elle decided to release four individual covers this week that featured “smart, funny, women of the small-screen”. The four women that were selected were Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project), Zooey Deschanel (New Girl), Amy Pohler (Parks and Recreation), and Allison Williams (Girls). This is the controversy: All women were featured full-length with the exception of Mindy Kaling’s cover which was cropped below her chest. Elle stated, ‘Mindy looks sexy, beautiful and chic. We think it is a striking and sophisticated cover and are thrilled to celebrate her in our Women in TV Issue,’ the statement added. “And now Kaling herself weighed in. We hope that settles it. Drinks for Kaling (and Melissa McCarthy) on us.” Mindy Kaling expressed that she loved her cover! If she’s happy, we are happy. Here is glimpse of Elle February 2014…
